the 1Take Barcelona team were lucky enough to be able to film Fernando Milagros at Primavera Sound last year and we were all speechless afterwards, he is a true artist and a good man… I think I have probably blogged this video before but it is something that I can watch again and again, his personality shines through and the poetry, pain and beauty of the performance are indisputable

There’s a funny story behind this video actually… having seen Vincent Moon’s wonderful La Blogateque video of this man (which just blew me away) we were really keen to film a 1Take private session with Fernando while he was in Barcelona for Primavera Sound earlier this year and which 1Take was filming at… we couldn’t get in touch with him however and assumed it wasn’t going to happen so, imagine our joy when, on the first night of the festival, the man himself came and sat right down beside us!! After recovering our (well my) composure, we introduced ourselves and, being the lovely humble soul that he is, he very kindly agreed to come and do a 1Take session at some point during his stay in Barcelona… and here is the finished film (well 1 of them, we made 3 in total), hope you like it…
The ridiculously talented Chilean folk singer Fernando Milagros performing his song Pedazos de Ti (Pieces of You)… This man makes me want to cry - in a good way, he is just so amazingly great! He came and joined us for an afternoon at our good friend Ricardo’s home in Barcelona and sang some beautiful music for us… and the experience just blew us all away, a lovely man who makes music with his whole heart and soul and makes you believe in everything that he sings about…

…and then it was on to the Adidas Originals Stage to see Chilean folk singer Fernando Milagros. I had seen his La Blogotheque Take Away video so I knew to expect something special and I definitely wasn’t disappointed! Looking forward to seeing how our footage comes out…
