A few weeks back, Micall Parknsun came to do an acoustic show for us at 1Take TV , and although I was excited about it, I didn’t realise quite how much soul he was going to bring to the room. For those that do know who Micall Parknsun is and what he has done for UK Hip Hop, then it will come as no surprise, but ultimately, he set a standard. The guy will remain one of my favourite flows, and it was a serious honour to work with him. For those that don’t know who he is or what he represents to all the wordsmiths out there, then listen and learn, and give thanks. Micall, tank you for coming on the show, I take my hat off to you. UK rapper Sway joins us in K1 Studios for a rare acoustic freestyle, with music producer and guitarist Guy Katsav, and pianist Andrew Mutambira. Offering a glimpse of Sway’s long awaited upcoming album, it was a pleasure and privilege to be able to film him in his element and we hope very much to have him on the show again soon.

I’ve been neglecting tumblr recently as we’ve had so much on… like taking a road trip down to Glastonbury with Hip Hop legend DJ Vadim and one of Chicago’s finest MC’s, Pugs Atomz to film The Electric’s two performances on the Cube Penge and West Holt Bar stages. If you haven’t already heard of them, The Electric is the new superband spearheaded by DJ Vadim with UK soulstress Sabira Jade and lyrical marvel Pugs, “a trio that spits hip hop over meticulously produced soul and funk jams” (MTV).
