As you may know, 1Take loves getting up close with our artists, filming them in the studio, on stage and actually pretty much anywhere else really… we were privileged to be allowed into The Album Leaf’s Barcelona hotel room during Primavera Sound last May to film this video… and then we caught them on stage later too which was, need I say it, simply mesmerising…

The Album Leaf perform “Within Dreams” on the ATP stage at Primavera Sound earlier this year… this is one of my favourite bands to just sit back and listen to for the sheer beauty and craftmanship of their compositions…
We were lucky enough to meet up with Jimmy and Matt while they were in town, they must have been exhausted, it’s about a 12 hour flight from the West Coast to Barcelona and they were only in town for two days but they were kind enough to invite the 1Take team into their hotel room to chat about their plans for the forthcoming months and perform an impromptu acoustic version of “There’s a wind”… more videos to be posted soon…

just amazing, could listen to this over and over… Jimmy and Matt from The Album Leaf came to Barcelona last month to perform at Primavera and, even though they were only in town for about 24 hours and were probably hugely jet lagged, they very kindly allowed us into their hotel room to record an acoustic version of this song, such humble and truly gifted people and one of the highlights of 1Take so far… looking forward to posting the videos soon…

…and then it was an absolute joy to film The Album Leaf’s Jimmy LaValle and Matt Resovich in their hotel room… what lovely guys and such incredibly talented musicians… we also filmed a couple of songs from their stage set on the ATP stage later that night which was stunning…
